Q: What motivates you to record and release your music?
A: I love the writing and recording process. That whole creative environment is really what motivates me. I love watching the thoughts and musical ideas that I have in my head come to fruition. It is truly one of the most satisfying and exciting feelings in the world to me. Releasing the music we’ve created is simply the next logical step. We just hope others get as much enjoyment from listening to it as we do making it.
Q: How would you describe your music to people that have never heard your music?
A: I would say we are a Hard Rock/Metal band with lots of melody. Thankfully over the years I think we’ve really developed our own sound. So in tern, it’s been a bit harder to compare us to one band or another. And I think that is definitely a good thing!
Q: What bands do you listen too?
A: I listen to my influences mostly: Queen, Megadeth, Rush, Dio/Black Sabbath, Extreme, Carcass, Queensryche, etc. I also love a lot of bands that many wouldn’t necessarily expect, such as The Used, Journey, Toto, Kiss, Heart, W.A.S.P., Ratt, & Dokken, as well as tons of 80’s pop.I also LOVE Black Country Communion! I pretty much listen to anything and everything that is well written. Doesn’t matter what genre it is.
Q: How did you all meet to form this band?
A: Through the years we’ve had several lineup changes. But the core of the band for the past 10 years has been myself, Johnny Salerno and Alberto Campuzano. Johnny is my cousin. So that explains how he and I met. So when the 2nd guitar spot opened up, he was the first and only person I called.
Alberto came into the fold while I was reforming the band, once the original lineup split. He answered an ad I had put out looking for a bassist and was the first guy to audition and the last. We hit it off right away thankfully and didn’t bother looking any further.
Over the years we’ve had many different drummers play for us. But the three of us have definitely remained a constant in Warmachine.
Q: anything else you would like to add.
A: I’d just like to thank you as well as all our supportive Warheads out there for their love. We hope to see you soon on tour!
Great works here! Looking forward to reading more and always love to hearwhat’s happening with my pals WARMACHINE. 10 years of history since the release of The Beginning of the End. Lots of amazing shows! Catch them live whenever you can
I really enjoy their music. They are great and quick to provide stuff I needed for the interview.
The site is almost like a full time job. I have added so many things to the site in the last week but this is what is needed to show the readers and bands, we mean business and the business is promoting Canadian Rock & Metal music.
